Coaching and Mentoring
For executive assistants and board administrators, as one session, six weeks or support shaped around you.
More on coaching and mentoringI speak at events and professional gatherings about the work I do and the career path that has brought me to where I am today.

My presentations draw on my practical experience in board administration and governance support, taking audiences behind the scenes of what it really takes to keep a board functioning effectively. I share insights from the practical side of the role, from minute taking, preparing agendas and board papers, managing meetings and maintaining accurate records, through to understanding the importance of good governance, communication and relationships within the boardroom.
I also talk about my own journey and the transition from working within organisations to taking the leap to establish my own business. Starting out on my own has brought a different set of challenges and opportunities, and I enjoy sharing the lessons I have learned along the way, from recognising the value of the skills I had developed, to building confidence, finding my own professional identity and creating a business around work that I genuinely enjoy.
My talks are honest and relatable, particularly for executive assistants, board administrators and those who work behind the scenes supporting boards and senior leaders. I aim to demonstrate that these roles are much more than administration as they require judgement, discretion, organisation, strong communication and an understanding of how to operate effectively in a governance environment.
I enjoy sharing both the practical knowledge and the personal experiences that have shaped my career, while encouraging others to recognise the value of their own skills, consider where their experience could take them, and have the confidence to explore new opportunities.

I speak about board administration, governance support and the often unseen work that goes on behind the scenes of an effective board. I share practical insights from my experience in minute taking, preparing board papers, managing meetings and supporting directors, as well as the broader skills needed to work confidently in a boardroom environment. I also share my own career journey, including what led me to establish my own business and the lessons I have learned along the way.
No. While board administration and governance support are at the heart of my experience, I also enjoy talking about career development, professional confidence, recognising the value of your skills and taking the step towards working independently. My presentations can be tailored depending on the audience and the event.
I aim to make my presentations practical, relatable and engaging. I share real-world experiences rather than simply talking about theory, giving attendees an insight into what happens behind the scenes in a boardroom and the skills that can make a real difference. I also encourage attendees to think about their own careers and recognise that the experience and skills they have developed may open doors to opportunities they have not previously considered.
Absolutely. I understand that every audience is different. I can tailor the content, examples and emphasis of a presentation to suit your organisation, event and audience. Whether you are looking for a practical session about board administration or a more inspirational presentation about career progression and starting out on your own, I can work with you to create something relevant.
Yes. This is an area I particularly enjoy. Executive assistants and board administrators often have a significant amount of responsibility and knowledge, but don't always recognise the value of the skills they have developed.
My business grew from my experience working in board administration and my realisation that there was an opportunity to use that experience in a different way. Taking the step to work for myself has been an important part of my professional journey. I enjoy sharing both the successes and the challenges of starting out on my own, because I believe there is a lot to be learned from the journey itself.
Yes. I share lessons, challenges and opportunities along the way, with the aim of encouraging others to think about where their own experience could take them.
Presentation length can be tailored to suit your event. I can offer shorter sessions, keynote-style presentations or longer interactive sessions depending on your requirements.
Yes. Depending on the audience and format, I can incorporate discussion, questions, practical examples and audience participation to make the session engaging and relevant.
