AI in the boardroom

A conversation on Board Shorts, the Get On Board Australia podcast, about how much artificial intelligence boards and their administrators are using, from meeting preparation to the minutes.

A desk beside a tall cabinet of shelves

Suzanne joined Board Shorts, the Get On Board Australia podcast, in October 2025 to look again at artificial intelligence in the boardroom, a year on from the first conversation. It covers how much of it boards have taken up, what people are willing to put into a tool and what they are not, and why a set of minutes still needs a person who understands what was decided.

There is a practical thread running through it as well. Having a governance framework agreed before the tools arrive rather than after, knowing what happens when something fails, and the point that preparing for a meeting means reading and thinking rather than reading a summary of the papers.
